“It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live.” —Albus Dumbledore
… is the yearbook quote i settled on. ^^
I thought about using “Nitwit! Blubber! Oddment! Tweak!” (also a Dumbledore quote) but… yeah, I think a lot of people would be confused. There’s a pretty interesting explanation for it here, though.
Jennifer (my sister) told me not to use a Harry Potter quote ‘cause it’s easily dated. But, dammit, I am dated! What’s the big hype about “timeless” things anyway? I guess there’s something in that they have such… endurance, but I think HP will do the same in time. All timeless things start with something “easily dated,” I guess is what I’m saying. Am I making any sense? It’s late…
Break is passing too quickly.
New Haircut, new blog.
Revelation of the day: Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it is possible to look surprised when you’re taking a picture of yourself! How? I don’t… know… ::pretends she didn’t spend the last 15 minutes taking pictures of herself, just to settle with one of the earlier “okay” ones:: ahem…
::sigh::
I’ve been meaning to re-start a blog (or tumblr, or whatever) for a while now. I realized about this time last year that there was a correlation between when I got confused in life and when I stopped writing in my good ol’ livejournal. But then again, that’s also about the time I came to MIT. -___-’ I’ll leave that as an exercise to the reader as to which one screwed with my sense of self-confidence…
I was debating whether to make my awesome(!!) re-entry into the bloggersphere with blogger, wordpress, or tumblr— I settled on tumblr. It was a tough choice, though, and I’m just trying it out. On the one hand, tumblr is supposed to be low maintenance and easy to be consistent with (definitely needed. I suck at doing things on a daily basis… besides eating. And sometimes sleeping). But on the other hand, I think I have more to say than just a little blurble every day, and according to wikipedia, tumblogs are supposed to be short:
A tumblelog (also known as a tlog or tumblog) is a variation of a blog that favors short-form, mixed-media posts over the longer editorial posts frequently associated with blogging.
… oh snaps! I suck already. Fail.
